$1,500. San Jose Clean Energy EcoHome HP HVAC (gas replacement). https://sanjosecleanenergy.org/ecohome-rebate/ Program terms checked 2026-10-21.
This page is for a San Jose house that heats with a gas furnace. It is also for a house with no central heat. The rebate shown above is that gas-replacement case.
A house that already heats with a heat pump is a different job. Do not read that rebate as a swap of the heat pump you have. The form asks which fuel heats the house. It does not ask you to pick a model.
Many Willow Glen cottages keep the furnace in a hall closet, with a short run into a low attic. Some Rose Garden houses sit back from the street, so the outdoor cabinet has to clear a side-yard gate.
Some Cambrian ranches put the air handler in a garage closet, with the supply trunk overhead. Many Almaden two-story houses push the return to the upper hall. Say which layout the address has. A closet and a garage are not the same path.
Write down where the gas meter sits. Write down where the electrical panel sits. Note which rooms go cold first on a January morning. Those notes change the path of the line and the circuit. They do not change the rebate shown above.
San Jose Clean Energy serves San Jose. A bill from another utility belongs on the Santa Clara page or the Sunnyvale page. Do not apply the rebate shown above to that bill.
Enter a ZIP code to see the heat pump rebate on file for that address.
Leave a name, a phone or email, and the San Jose address. Say whether the house heats with gas today. Thanks. A licensed shop in San Jose handles the work, and this form sends your request there.
